The Power of Touch

Throughout Jesus’ ministry, He reveals to us the power of touch. He would often touch people on the part that needed healing, like touching the blind man’s eyes or the ear of the high priest’s servant (Matthew 9:27-31; Luke 22:50, 51).

At the University

It was a Friday morning, and I waited to meet with Pii Bee at the nearby university. I had been introduced to this professor through a church member, and Pii Bee and I usually met weekly to practice English conversation. This day she arrived accompanied by a student.

This has been an exciting month, as things have moved from mainly planning and praying to getting started with English classes. I could sense God’s providence leading, as prior to this, any class I tried to start got rescheduled.

During this break as I prepare to leave for Thailand, I have had time to reflect back on my experience in training with Adventist Frontier Missions (AFM). There are many aspects that stand out but a few that impacted me most are learning about grit/perseverance, investment, and intentionality.
