- Mar 13, 2008 -- Our language and culture studies
Please keep praying for our language studies. After being in the country for so long and being well established in the local community as well as the church with a lot of responsibilities it is a daily struggle to find time for our studies. Pray that we will learn quickly and that God will bless our efforts.
- Mar 13, 2008 -- Kaky family
Pray for our friends Boni, Colette and their son Espoir. God led them both to do church planting among their own people groups here in the area. Colette is blessed with very special spiritual gifts. God talks to her in dreams and sometimes even during times when she is awake. She recognizes that with these special gifts she also has a special responsibility and is asking for your prayers so she might be faithful to God’s leading. Pray also for their protection against attacks from Satan.

- May 1, 2008 -- Spiritual warfare
For some time the Palawano project has been the center of some intense spiritual warfare. The Georges feel that much of the problem is emanating from a woman by the name of Sunya who is, unfortunately, a backslidden church member. Speaking of Sunya, Leonda says ”She controls through insult, shame, accusation and gossip. Pretty strong weapons in a shame-based culture. We, more and more, feel that this stronghold of Satan MUST be broken in order for us to have a thriving congregation, school, etc. here.!!" Let’s keep this woman and the Georges in our prayers.
- Mar 12, 2008 -- Demon Possession
The Palawan project is experiencing devil possession among the locals. Recently the students at our school in Kensuli were harrassed by an apparition in the night. The teacher who responded to their screams had difficulty breathing and experienced facial numbness when entering the building. They sang and prayed and eventually the atmosphere began to lighten. Leonda is writing Bible studies and was working on the state of the dead when this event occurred. Please pray that God\'s truth will liberate these people.

- Oct 8, 2007 -- Residency Permits
Despite warnings that we might be disqualified due to our extended absence, our family was finally granted five-year residency permits. Hallelujah!! (We could have been declared ineligible to apply for at least two more years.)

- Dec 18, 2007 -- Pray for our friends
Please pray for our friends here in Vlore: Rejana, Lejda, Besa, Ina, and olsa. Especially for Besa and Ina as they have both shown interest, or as they put it, curiosity about the Bible. They asked us if we understood the Bible and if we would be willing to help them understand it. I was taken a back a bit by their forwardness but am extremely excited about the opportunity to share how INCREDIBLE our God is!

- Nov 14, 2007 -- Pray for Ramadan
This morning I found out that my friend Zaku's father Ramadan has suffered a stroke. Zaku has become a very close friend and has allowed me to pray for his father at the hospital. The prognosis is not good for Ramadan. He has lost his hearing, sight, speech and complete movement. Please pray for this family and for me (Sean) that i will have the words to share with my friend.

- Apr 30, 2008 -- Pray for leaders
Our job description suggests we work ourselves out of a job—raising up a church that plants other churches without our help. However, we can only work ourselves out of a job if we have trained leaders in place. Kapitango has been working with us for the past 13 years. For the past six years or so, we have been trying to help him get into a pastoral training program. This dream was finally realized last week. Pray for the success of Kapitango’s studies. Pray that we can send more youth for training. The Petersens in Namibia
- Mar 3, 2008 -- Prayers for the Himba
We are reaching the most crucial part of our project — creating an evangelistic tool. Pray for us through this most important phase. We want to finish the writing this year and start creating a tool when we return from furlough in February 2009. In the meantime, Pam will continue to do some community projects; building bridges of care and demonstrating God’s love in the community. Pray for wisdom as we choose media for evangelism and
guidance as we write stories for our host people.

- Ongoing Prayer Need -- Upcoming Meetings
Please pray that during our furlough speaking appointments (May to Aug. 2006: See events calendar)God's Spirit moves mightily to inspire and convict all to the importance and urgency of missions, and that many will choose to get involved in one of the following ways:
1. Sign up for service either as:
a. student missionary (9 months)
b. short term volunteer (2 years)
c. career missionary. (6-9 years)
2. Join us as a financial partner for the Northern Khmer
project. Due to deaths and difficulties, many of our current pledged supporters have discontinued their support for our project, and we must now raise an extra $700 in monthly pledges. Most current partners give between $25 and $50 per month.
3. Commit to praying (monthly after reading our articles,
weekly on Friday nights which is the time of our Sabbath morning service in Thailand, or as needed when posted on this website.

- Apr 29, 2007 -- Thank you God for our mbags
Thank you God for bringing our mbags to us safe and sound.
- Apr 29, 2007 -- Prayer for Hong Kry
Please uplift Hong Kry in prayer. We met this young man while attending language class. We made friends with him and are helping fund some english classes for him. He has been coming to church and is studying the bible with a local bible worker. Since he lives at the Buddhist temple some of the monks have been putting pressure on him to stop learning about Christianity.

- Dec 31, 2007 -- Pray for Palawan
Mami, a gungurrang (head honchos in the jungle), came to church for the first time and I believe that is the first time a gungurrang has ever come to church.... It would be quite a miracle to have such an influential character as Mami take a stand for Christ in these mountains [Palawan] and could open many doors to reaching others.... My fellow missionary and I were ... apparently on the wrong trail and Mami enthusiastically led us through the jungle to the correct trail.... before we parted paths we prayed with him.... Please keep Mami in your prayers that he would come to a place where he can make a decision to follow Christ with all his heart.

- May 25, 2007 -- Prayers for people needed
Thank you for your faithful prayers on our behalf and on behalf of the people here. What a joy to see the Lord moving in the life of Diana- growing her in truth and in the Spirit. Pray for Him to continue to lead her to speak and to move according to His plans and timing. That is her desire. She had a beautiful though difficult experience this past week where God used her to speak powerfully to her sister in law. (You all have prayed for her brother, Goni several months ago. I have to admit feeling a bit discouraged when it seemed nothing resulted from that time of focused prayer. He has been out of the country for almost a year now and we have had no contact with him. He comes back to Vlore tomorrow possibly to stay as he has found work.) His wife had had a difficult experience and Diana felt moved by God to strongly exhort her to faith in God and not in any other "gods". I wish I could share all of the aspects of it, but suffice it to say that the Lord gave a real opportunity to her and now that her husband is coming back, please pray for both of them this week.
Candle lighting lady's daughter L. still needs our prayers alot. Diana has had many opportunities to talk with her and minister to her. Pray for her to give her life to God and really seek His leading at this time in her life. Her documents are not ready still. Pray God will use this "waiting" time to do more than she is expecting.
