June: The Spoons launch to the Philippines

Ray and Dawn Spoon began their work on the Philippine island of Palawan among the Palawano people, a shy, remote mountain tribe. Ray’s practical skills and Dawn’s medical experience would serve the Palawano well in years to come.

July: Lackeys launch to Papua New Guinea

David and Holly Lackey, with their children, joined the Kent family on May River. David and Holly were both registered nurses, and their medical expertise was a Godsend for the May River people

December: The Jollys launch to Mongolia

Brad and Cathy Jolly embarked upon a very ambitious project: to raise up a church in Mongolia where the government was unfriendly to proselytizing and the people were historically resistant to Christianity.
