The next hurdle AFM missionaries face is the need to craft a culturally appropriate approach to Biblical teaching that will help the people make intelligent faith decisions for Christ. As God’s ambassadors, our missionaries are responsible to facilitate a major shift in the entire way their people group interact with their world. In order to bring about a major change in their thinking and actions, they must present the people with the opportunity to contrast the biblical understanding of the world with the distorted understanding passed down to them from their ancestors. The evangelism phase is full of tasks like literature translation and lesson preparation, building relationships and nurturing people, teaching bible studies, and a host of activities.
